The committee’s co-chairperson, Douglas Mwonzora, said COPAC would soon appoint a second female expert.
"We are aware of the demands and the committee is actually working on appointing another female drafter. At the moment COPAC is consulting with the three main political parties. The appointment will be made once the parties agree on a certain individual," said the MDC-T co-chair.
Mwonzora said there was still ample time to make another appointment since the new constitution draft process was expected to start on July 22.
The drafting team previously had three members: Justice Moses Chinhengo, Brian Crosier and Priscilla Mudzonga, and was appointed by the three political parties in the inclusive government.
