Gumbo was hoping to make the most out of the Rufaro stadium atmosphere but he was left seething after the mother body gave priority to financial gains.
The cheapest ticket has been hiked from $5 to $10 as Zifa seeks to use the important match as a fund raising event to help offset its crippling debt.
“Clearly they have given priority to financial rewards at the expense of three points with a comfortable score line,” said Gumbo Thursday “I am not happy at all, we need to win this match and instead of making sure we get a full house at the stadium and benefit from the 12th man, it looks like for Zifa making money is more important.”
Gumbo is also frustrated with the way the call up of players was handled with most foreign based players only arriving on Wednesday ahead of the Sunday clash.
He, however, remains confident that the players in camp will deliver the three points.
“I have been talking to the players, they know what we want and they know how much it is important to keep a clean sheet and also win the match. We will solve our problems later but what is important is to win the match on Sunday.”
The former Warriors midfielder concedes that Angola will be a tough cookie but he is confident of victory despite all problems.
