Open letter to Mugabe, Tsvangirai

I would like to express my interest in applying for an appointment as Minister or Deputy Minister in any of the Ministries post 31st of July 2013 elections, no matter who is going to be the new President of Zimbabwe.

My interest is in serving the people and ensuring our new government serves the old lady in Buhera, the rural folks, the poor, the orphans, the disabled and those who can’t find jobs to feed themselves or their families but are Zimbabweans and have a right to be served by the new government in power.

Talking to the people of Zimbabwe, all they are asking for is just a handful of things for them to enjoy their life, their basic right and the government’s responsibility to provide this basic right. I am interested in serving a government whose priority is for its citizens to enjoy life, whether they wake up every morning ploughing the fields, work for the employer, disabled/old no longer contributing anything towards the economic growth or business people owning mansions/fleets of cars/private jets.

You may be wondering what is this basic life and how does the government make its citizens enjoy it. The government is there to provide facilities to ensure its citizens enjoy their lives and as a well travelled person i have noticed the below unknown basics in Zimbabwe.

1. Free health for all.

2. Weekly allowances for the unemployed to afford them to buy food and clothing.

3. Shelter for the unemployed and less able.

4. Free education.

5. Free transport for the elderly and disabled.

For your own information, I am not a dreamer but a technocrat, Taxation expert, Banker, Accountant, regulatory specialist, Compliance expert, Zimbabwean by birth and patriot, whose dream is for Zimbabwe to be the first country in Africa to improve the standards of it citizens to a level that matches that of the 1st world or better.
