“He is patiently waiting for his opportunity and he will get it soon as the coach rotates his strikers in a 4-4-1 formation. The injury to one of our leading strikers, Siphelele Mthembu, also enhances his chances,” said Stars spokesman Aubrey Molobi.
“Our coach now prefers playing with a single striker and thus, the competition for the sole starting berth is intense with Mthembu and Henrico Botes have been doing well. I am confident Takesure will be up to the task when he gets his chance to impress. He will get that opportunity soon,” Molobi added.
The Harare-born player, who made his name at local clubs Dynamos and Hwange, joined the Rustenburg-based Stars at the beginning of the ongoing campaign. During his short stay, Stars have won the MTN 8 and Telkom Knockout. He played a cameo role in the final of the former.
Orlando Pirates released the 31-year-old centre forward at the end of last season in a surprise move considering his exploits in front of goal despite limited game time.
