| Maramba-Pfungwe ward 7 | Tense | Village head Chikumo (who is also ZANU PF district Chairperson) sent people to move door to door writing down names of people above 16 years for them to become registered voters. His team is forcing people to register their names and telling them that if they don’t do so, they will not receive food aid. At a food for work meeting at Barahwe school on 2 August 2016, Village head Chikumo, told villagers that at the recent war veterans meeting in Harare, they were told that they should not tolerate opposition supporters in the area. At the meeting, he was also marking a register of people who had attended and vowed that all those absent will face the “consequences”. Because of this exercise, people in the area are now living in fear. The case of forcing people to register was reported at Mutawatawa police station but no docket was opened. |
| Marondera West ward 15 | Tense | Village heads Chasi, Matongo, Bvukumbwe and Mhizha forced people in their wards to pay a dollar per household towards the Heroes day celebrations. From the 4th of August 2016, the people who have been tasked to collect the money started moving in the area collecting the money and telling people that should they fail to pay the money, they will have their names removed from the list of food aid beneficiaries. The aid is being distributed by Ministry of Social welfare in the area. |
| Mwenezi West | Moderate | Teachers from the following schools, Mwenezi Government school, Chingami Primary, Masogwe High, Chesvingo Primary, Mavambo Primary, Tsungirirai High, Neshuro Secondary and Matande school were ordered to pay at least $5 towards the Heroes day celebrations. The directive to pay came from Inspector for Public Service in the area, Last Gondo. On 5 August 2016, Headmasters from these school threatened teachers that those who refuse to make contributions, will be barred from being election agents in the 2018 elections. |
| Mwenezi East ward 5 | Moderate | There was a ZANU PF meeting at Rata business centre on the 30th of July 2016 where ZANU PF deputy Ward chairperson, Ezra Mashindi told villagers that no villager should miss any ZANU PF meeting called for in the area. He also warned them that ZANU PF youths had been deployed in the area to write down names of those boycotting meetings. Community members have since started attending some of the meetings being called for out of fear. |
| Chiredzi ward 4 | Moderate | There was a ZANU PF meeting on 31 July 2016 at Chovani Stadium which was supposed to be addressed by Minister Savior Kasukuwere. After he failed to attend, Chiredzi West MP, Darlington Chiwa then addressed the rally. After the rally, ZANU PF members moved in the area writing down peoples’ names and home addresses. The exercise has since stopped but community members are now living in fear as they don’t know what the addresses will be used for. |
| Shamva ward 11 | Tense | ZANU PF youths moved in the area on the night of 31 July announcing  that all known opposition supporters in the area will be beaten up in case ZANU PF lose in any coming elections in the area. The case has not been reported to the police as community members are not sure if reporting such a case will not result in severe intimidation. |
| Nyanga North ward 11 | Moderate | ZANU PF ward Chairman, Gift Jombo on 31 July instructed Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) officials to dismiss David Bariri, an MDC-T activist who works at ZINWA offices from his job. Jombo threatened that if Bariri is not relieved of his duties, they will storm ZINWA offices and remove him violently. The case has not been reported to the police. The allegations against Bariri are that he supports opposition parties and is known for holding opposition meetings in the area. |
| Nyanga North ward 2 | Moderate | ZANU PF members conducted a meeting at Avila shops on 25 July 2016 . At the meeting, ZANU PF Ward chairperson, Wilson Sauro told villagers that they should make sure ZANU PF wins the 2018 election or they will be thoroughly beaten. He further gave a directive to all war veterans in the area that they should consider setting up bases which will be crucial for drumming up support for the ruling party.

| Uzumba –Maramba ward 8 | Moderate | On 3 August 2016, Village head Chitengu sent people in the area to collect $1 from each household as contributions towards the Heroes day commemorations. Villagers were told that failure to pay the money will risk having their names removed from the list of food aid beneficiaries. The aid is being distributed by the Ministry of Social Welfare. |
| Harare | Moderate | Following a demonstration against bond notes that was organized by pro democracy activists, on 3 August 2016, riot police assaulted dozens of people who were protesting. The protestors were assaulted while they were on their way to submit a petition at Parliament building. Riot police also fired teargas to disperse protestors. Some of the protestors retaliated by throwing stones at the police.

| Mutoko ward 20 | Moderate | On 7 August 2016, ZANU PF ward secretary Rongai Muchemwa moved around homesteads delivering letters that were instructing each homestead to pay a $1 towards the Heroes day commemorations that were held at Chikondoma stadium. Muchemwa told people that those who fail to pay the money will not receive food aid. |
| Buhera ward 18 | Moderate | ZANU PF ward Chairman, Tarisai Nanga instructed people to pay $1 towards Heroes commemorations. People in the area refused to pay arguing that it was not their responsibility to pay money towards the commemorations. Tarisai Nanga told villagers that all those who refused to pay, will not receive food aid. |
