Prison officers victimise MDC ‘sympathisers’

A Prison Service trio has reportedly vowed to flush out all officers sympathetic to the MDC by “any means possible”.

The trio of Chief Prison Officers, Mark Katsatse, Walter Mbanje and their boss Chief Superintendent Billiard Chibaya are all stationed at Harare Remand Prison. Since the beginning of the year they have openly victimized more than 10officers by transferring them to remote areas.

The move comes soon after prisons boss Paradzai Zimondi Re-deployed senior officers to remote areas to carry out the 2008 style terror campaign to force the electorate to vote for Zanu (PF) in forthcoming elections.

Two junior officers, Robert Chukucha and Mockiard Muringani, who where part of the terror gang that wrecked havoc in the Shamva/Bindura area in 2008, have promised fireworks. They said they have the names of officers who are leaking information to the MDC and the private media.

Recent victims of Chibaya’s administration include prison officers Although Damu, Tinashe Maradzika, Learnard Gonzo, one Sakupwanya and a certain Rusere.
