State television, which showed him alighting from a plane and shaking hands with the Vice President Joice Mujuru and several senior government officials, said he looked "fit and strong."
Africa's oldest leader left Harare on Monday for what officials said was a "routine" health check.
The 88-year-old, who has ruled Zimbabwe since 1980, often makes visits to the city-state for medical treatment and underwent cataract surgery there last year.

In 1980 Pararenyatwa Hospital was one of the finest hospitals in Africa; clean, well equipped and with some of the best trained medical staff. Today, a nauseating smell of decay and death is everywhere. The ruling elite go to SA for their health requirements and the top dog, Mugabe and his family, go to Singapore. Povo can not afford the such luxurious, they still go to Pararenyatwa – to die!
Every Mugabe trip to Singapore costs a cool US$ 3 million and he has had at least eight trips in the last 12 months alone. A cool US$ 24 million – that is more than what this government spends on all the country’s clinics and hospitals in a year! In other words we spend more on the health of one individual than on the health of the remaining 10 million. There is greed but this is greed-gone-mad. Is it a wonder we are in a real mess!
