Dynamos halt three-match losing streak

HARARE - Dynamos were a relieved lot after Sabastian Mutizirwa's solitary strike on the hour against high-flying Chapungu at Rufaro yesterday gave them maximum points after enduring a three-match winless streak in the league.
The Harare side last week lost to Lancashire Steel following consec

utive draws against Buymore and Motor Action. Midfield star Ronald Sibanda rose from the bench to mastermind DeMbares’s priceless goal in the 60th minute when he picked a loose ball from the centre and laid it on to fellow substitute Gift Zvavanhu on the right flank who centred the ball for Mutizirwa.
The former Black Mambas striker got the better of Chapungu defenders as he turned to place the ball beyond the impressive visitors’ goalkeeper Brighton Muchambo. It was Mutizirwa’s fourth goal in three consecutive matches and his first at home. Former CAPS United goalkeeper Witness Munkuli returned to top-flight action as he got the nod ahead of Tichaona Diya to guard goals for Dynamos.
Across town at the National Sports Stadium, CAPS overcame Railstars 3-2 in a match they were stretched to the end by the lowly side. Lancashire humiliated Masvingo United 3-1 at Mucheke in Masvingo, while basement club Zimbabwe Saints continued to sing the blues when they went down 2-1 to newboys Mwana Africa.
