Dorking hold log leaders Lengthens

HARARE – Log leaders Lengthens were held to a one-all draw by newcomers Dorking at Tsungubvi over the weekend as second-placed Harare United continued to loose valuable points after being held to a one-all draw by newcomers Grain Tigers at GMB Aspindale.

So far the log leaders have

dropped five valuable points which might have a negative impact when Gunners start playing their postponed games. Gunners have two outstanding games.

Army side Blue Jets won their outing by beating miners Shamva by a goal to nil at Rimuka Stadium, while Douglas won their home game against struggling Lulu Rovers by 3 goals to nil to move three places up the ladder.
The bottom two teams are Lulu and Golden Kopjie. Lulu lost their 12th game of the season to move one place down to no 19. Golden K are still anchoring the bottom of the log as they were inactive over the weekend as their opponents Gunners are awaiting the return of three of their players who are with the national Under 20 team for the Zone Six Games in Namibia. The players are expected back this weekend. Northern Region takes a break this weekend and all games will resume on July 15 and 16. This is to allow the Mid-season Extra Ordinary Clubs Meeting to take place on July 8 at Alex Sports Club at 9am and also to have the players rest before they resume the second half of the season – John S Remba.
