Sundowns and Sheffield haggle over Nyandoro

Nyandoro, who has played for the Warriors and Mamelodi Sundowns, was due to arrive at Bramall Lane last week but is still stuck in South Africa awaiting the processing of his visa, which has not been given the final go ahead by Sundowns.

In the meantime, Nyandoro has started training wit

h Sundowns, but he is hopeful that the necessary paperwork for his move to Sheffield United will soon be completed

Press reports quote him as saying negotiations between the two sides were at an advanced stage. “They (Sheffield) want me to attend trials during their pre-season. I do not mind attending their trials so that I can show them what I can do. But at the same time, I cannot go without the blessings of Sundowns. Somehow, the two parties have to reach agreement regarding my proposed visit to England for trials so that should things not work out, I must be in a position to come back knowing that I did not burn my bridges.” – Sports reporter
