Gunners on goal scoring spree

HARARE - Gunners had a goal scoring spree at the weekend when they massacred struggling Chinhoyi-based Golden Kopje by 7 goals to nil to keep their chase for the premiership alive.
Felix Kuswatuka scored twice and there was one each from Elton Madzamisa, Michael Mageja, Tapiwa Mangezi, Percy Aru

meda and Akim Dzimiri to condemn Golden Kopje into the deeper end of the relegation zone.
But Gunners are still five points shy of log leaders Lengthens, who had a easy outing in Kariba were they beat ZPC Kariba by 3 goals to nil.
Third placed Harare United and fourth placed Douglas Warriors both kept their title chases alive with convincing victories at the weekend. Harare had the better of Turnal whom they beat 2-nil at their home ground, Italian Sports Club, and the Warriors had the better of Prison Guards Flame Lily at Rudhaka Stadium 2-0.
Fifth placed Airmen, Blue Jets were held to a 1-all draw by the “Silo Boys” Grain Tigers at Pfupajena stadium on Saturday. This is why we have ordered all matches involving the top 10 teams to be played simultaneously, to avoid psychological pressure on the other teams.
For example what happened over the weekend? Lengthens won 3-nil over ZPC, Gunners had the better of Golden Kopje whom they massacred by 7 goals to nil whilst Douglas Warriors beat Flame lily by 2 goals to nil leaving Harare and Turnal trying to beat each other to cover the gap that had been created by emphatic wins by other teams the previous day.
Elsewhere Black Mambas were beaten by Chegutu Pirates one nil on Friday night at Tomlinson depot whilst Dorking had the better of Eiffel flats to send them into the deeper waters of relegation zone. Felfar Stars drew one all with Karoi United to keep their hopes of surviving relegation into the lower league alive (for the time being) whilst another relegation bound Lulu Rovers lost one nil to Kurai United at Chinhoyi Stadium on Saturday.
