No to elections in 2010 (14-12-06)

EDITOR - I wish to express my vehement condemnation on the recent attempts by the government of today to harmonise elections in 2010.The people are tired of Zanu (PF) and should guard jealously against such malignant policies and r

eject this obnoxious move by the government.

It has neglected its socio-economic and political responsibilities and has plunged the economy into the doldrums. Our position as the students is very clear, we will not allow Mugabe to postpone elections. The students of Zimbabwe will rise and as we draw nearer to 2007 more serious battles are going to be fought.

What the nation needs at the present moment is an improvement in the education, health delivery systems, low inflation rates, more employment and other essential services.

Before we talk of any election we need a new democratic people-driven constitution. I plead to the Lord Almighty to redeem us from the quagmire caused by Zanu (PF).
