Mighty Warriors upbeat

THE Mighty Warriors are confident of defeating South Africans Banyana Banyana at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday despite losing 2 -1 in Pretoria a fortnight ago.
The Mighty Warriors, who went down fighting, said they have left no stone unturned, as far as preparations for the

match was concerned.
The winner of the two legs will progress to the round robin stage which commences in Nigeria next month.
Coach Rosemary Mugadza has also recalled five other players, comprising two defenders, two strikers as well as a goalkeeper. These are Sandra Muchuchu, Patience Mujuru, Charity Kanyoka, Sandra Mpofu and Perpetua Magunda.
Mugadza told The Zimbabwean that her charges were confident of progressing to the next round despite losing to South Africa.
“Our biggest letdown was the midfield department. We have worked hard on that, we know what lies ahead and what is expected.”
“Fans should come and rally behind us, we are going to win although South Africa are favourites on paper,” Mugadza said.
After the elimination of the Warriors from the 2008 African cup of nations the mighty warriors now carry the hopes of a success starved nation whose other teams have also failed to qualify for any major international competition.
