Boost for cyclists

CYCLISTS competing at this weekend's African mountain biking championships in Windhoek, Namibia received a boost from Norwegian sportswear manufacturer, Helly Hansen, when the UK division this week donated training tops to the Zimbabwean squad attending the upcoming championships.

untain biking championships form part of 2008 Beijing Olympics qualification. This is the first time that a Zimbabwean team will compete in an official international in mountain biking. The Zimbabweans will see stiff competition from Namibian Mannie Heymans and South African Kevin Evans. Both Evans and Heymans have previously finished on the podium in both the Trans Alp and Cape Epic multi’stage MTB races.
