May tipped as CAPS coach

HARARE - Former Highlanders mentor and British national, Eddie May, is rumoured to be interested in taking over the reins as head coach at the embattled CAPS United.
According to information filtering into Zimbabwe, the British national is set to join the Manchester Road boys following the depart

ure of nomadic coach, Moses ‘Razorman’ Chunga last week.
Chunga is being accused by the CAPS United fans of sabotaging the club by enhancing Dynamos’ chances of winning the 2007 premiership title, a claim Chunga vehemently denied.
According to the unconfirmed reports in Zimbabwe, May is expected some time this week, before starting his coaching duties at Makepekepe – as CAPS United are affectionately called.
The British coach is not new to Zimbabwean football as he once coached Highlanders Football Club, winning the premiership title on two occasions before quitting the club.
Apart from coaching Highlanders, May also coached clubs such as Jets, Black Rhinos and Amazulu respectively.
CAPS United Director of Operations, Farai Jere, confirmed this week that a new foreign coach was coming but refused to shed light as to whether it was May. – Agency
