Moyo wins big

CAPE TOWN - Zimbabwe long-distance female athlete, Samkeliso Moyo, won in style the lucrative Nedbank City of Cape Town Marathon on Sunday, beating a strong field of international athletes here.
Moyo walked away with more than R10,000 (about US$1,300) after winning this

prestigious and lucrative road race.
Ethiopian international marathon runner, Asrat Addis, came second.
Moyo’s victory was timely, as she clocked the qualifying time for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games set for China.
As that was not enough, another Zimbabwean long distance runner, Collen Makaza, came second in the men’s 15-kilometre road race in Cape Town.
Makaza also qualified for the Beijing Olympic Games with South African national, Mluleki Nobanda, winning the men’s race.
Oliver Kandiero also participated in the men’s race and could not stop the South African whirlwind Nobanda and his compatriot Makaza from occupying first and second positions respectively. – CAJ News
