Under 17s in tough Group

HARARE -The Zimbabwe Under 17 national soccer squad has been drawn in a tough group in this year's edition of the Cosafa Under 17 championship to be held in Windhoek, Namibia.


The championship will run from 8-15 December. Zimbabwe has been drawn in the Group D with powerhouse Angola and Malawi.
Henrietta Rushwaya, acting Zifa chief executive officer, revealed that it would be taxing financially as all the three national teams, the Under 17, the Mighty Warriors (women) and the Under 20 have games at about the same time.
The Cosafa Under 17 draw:
Group A : Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho
Group B: Swaziland, Mozambique, Zambia
Group C; South Africa, Madagascar, Mauritius
Group D: Zimbabwe, Angola, Malawi. – CAJ News
