Thousands of delegates trickle to ANC Congress venue

POLOKWANE:
THOUSANDS of African National Congress (ANC) delegates have started trickling in at the University of Limpopo, Polokwane, Limpopo province for the ruling party's conference.


Already there is tight security consisting of 800 members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) aided by 100 ANC youths at the home of the conference, Limpopo University.
According to the information made available to CAJ News by ANC’s Media and Communications Officer, Tiyani Rikhotso, over 5 000 delegates are expected at the venue with 1000 guests from around Africa and international community.
About 800 journalists worldwide have already been accredited to cover the ANC conference with 350 waiters to serve the delegates with food whilst 650 service staff at the venue are also in place.
The ANC media revealed that 400 000 bottles of mineral water will be drank, 15 000 soft drinks purchased for the delegates,  5 000 new mattresses bought, 2 000 beds purchased whilst 75 000 meals will be consumed over a period of five days-
