ANC Congress set for Saturday

 JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC) is set to mark its 96th anniversary celebrations at Super Stadium in Atteridgeville, Pretoria on Saturday.

ANC Spokesperson, Tiyani Rikhotso, said his party expected over 20 000 party followers as well as them diplomatic missions, ANC allies, business people and liberation movements from around the African continent to grace the crucial function.  

Jacob Zuma, the newly elected ANC president will deliver his first public speech after the Polokwane conference in December 2007.  

Top musical groups, among them Mzwakhe Mbuli, Chicco “Sello” Twala and liberation singers will grace the function before rounding up by awards presentation. -CAJ News
