The terror campaign being waged by the Zanu (PF) and Robert Mugabe's military junta is intensifying, according to the Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition.

In one incident, seven families in Mvurwi and Mashonaland Central were ordered to leave their homes at Wela Farm and were given just 10 hours to comply, reports the Coalition.

A gang, led by a war veteran identified only as Mashonga, accused the families of voting for the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

They slept out in the cold as neighbours were too afraid of reprisals to take them in.

After receiving the eviction orders, they reported the matter at Mvurwi police station, but the police did not turn up to stop the war vets from effecting the evictions.

In another incident, war veterans in Macheke in the Manicaland province attacked five Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) supporters. They also burnt down 11 houses, leaving the families to sleep in the open.  Three Zanu (PF) leaders were arrested and we detained at Rusape Police Station.

Clashes are looming and the MDC supporters are retaliating when their houses are being set on fire, said the Coalition.
