The people have spoken
EDITOR - MDC won the elections by a wide margin, defeating the evil government. If at all ZANU (PF) had won the elections, Mugabe could have been sworn in before ZEC could announce the results.

The Security Chiefs of the bloated Army, Prisons, and Police are now running the country with no brakes. It is now all confusion as the old man is resting from the campaigns that brought him defeat after generous gifts of food, drink and cars.

A re-run in 21 days is just expecting too much for the old man, it will send him to hell faster. The people of Zimbabwe have spoken clearly. ZANU (PF) is dead, the old man does not trust any of his cronies to even campaign for him or even to appoint a successor from his stooges.

A re-run will not change anything and is a waste of time and resources. MDC should tell Mugabe a BIG NO for the recount of rigged boxes. The old man fast-tracked elections even though he had been warned to prepare in a normal atmosphere. Now he has fast-tracked his down-fall.

The defection of Dr Simba Makoni and the veteran Dumiso Dabengwa was timely and well implemented. Their strategy tilted the tables and chances of winning to MDC. MDC should recognise these two patriots of freedom who changed their minds at the right time.

ZANU (PF) is threatening the rural electorate of voting for MDC after attending the rallies organised by thugs and militia, green bombers. The electorate will not be coerced as in the past and vote out of fear. ZANU (PF) stooges are not business minded that is why they promote and support the grab and loot mob violence. The industry is not operating and ZANU (PF) STOOGES don’t care as long as they are filling their pockets.

There are many witnesses

EDITOR – The letter writer signed Frustrated is either very naive or totally uninformed about things he purports to know. Mossad has been known for doing dirty jobs such as that they are doing here even in America and Europe. But the worst thing is for Frustrated to appear as if Mossad of Israel in general generally means good and should be associated with good.

For his info, Israel has in the recent past sold most of the deadly weapons and military equipment to Robert Mugabe and other dictators.

I am in the army and am aware of the whole Mossad deal, even where they are based in Borrowdale, close to Mugabe’s mansion. They were supervising the whole rigging strategy gong back to the time when the voters roll was being done by Mudede and ZEC. Mossad did all the tricks of putting about two million ghost voters on the roll using a strategy they call Rescue and Survival package.

They were there when extra ballots were marked at barracks last week and used their stupid tricks to take the papers to Mt Darwin, Beitbridge, Muzarabani, Gokwe, Mudzi, Rushinga and other places.

There are many of us who witnessed how Mugabe has been stealing elections and are prepared to tell everything.

Letter to Tsvangirai from students

EDITOR – Congratulations President Morgan Tsvangirai for winning the march 29 harmonised polls. Really as a leader you showed your qualities in the emancipation of Zimbabweans from the ruthless dictator of all time.

We the students in Zimbabwe have stood the test of time fighting with you to oust this dictator, but let it be known to you that we as students only support progress for we have permanent interests and no permanent friends.

Let it be clear to you that the state of all tertiary institutions leaves a lot to be desired for the students are now destitutes in their country of birth. As you have always said we hope you will bring back sanity to the higher and tertiary education sector for you are the new chancellor of all universities in the country.

We the students of this country shall forever salute you for your determination. May the Lord guide you with great wisdom each and every dawn

Zim needs diaspora vote

EDITOR – As Zimbabweans in the diaspora, we would like to thank you for the contributions you have made in informing us about the elections. Now the actual work for you guys starts here. In the event of a run-off, the only people who can make a difference are the ones in the diaspora. So, if you would mobilise the Zimbabweans in the diaspora to go and vote during the run-off, we can dispose of this dictator. Imagine if only 500,000 people in the diaspora would go and add to the votes already cast for the opposition. We should start campaigning that the diaspora votes are the ones which can make a difference now. Go home and vote out Mugabe. The few dollars, rands and pounds you would invest now in your transport to Zimbabwe would be an investment for your future. Let’s go en masse and vote out the dictator. We want our lives back. How can one person destroy the future of a whole nation. Lets exercise our democratic rights and vote during the run-off.

Mugabe You have been warned

EDITOR – Robert you must understand that the people of Zimbabwe have clearly given you a warning. Any attempts to go for a run off with President Tsvangirai will further embarrass you. Let me tell you that your speeches have bring your down fall. You used to have wisdom long ago but it seems it has been eaten by cockroaches.

You have pride! Pride made you to fall. Further more you can not do any thing any more to this economy. Do you know that it is above 160 000%.Shame on you! You are not going to win a run off even if you consult all your N’angas. Zimbabwe VOTE Tsvangirai for President.

Kuphe dismissed over Makoni ad

EDITOR – Milidzi Kuphe, who was accused of allowing a Simba Makoni campaign

advert that had President Mugabe admitting failure, has been dismissed from

the Zimpapers stable in Bulawayo.

Kuphe appeared before a disciplinary committee chaired by Kwayedza’s editor H. Chikwana assisted by P.Mushawani News Editor of Manica Post. It is reliably understood that the gentlemen came to Bulawayo pre-determined to fire Kuphe for what sources say allowed an advert that had the caption “WE have failed: Mugabe”

because it was felt it might have contributed to upsetting their applecart which is about to overturn.

Kuphe was two weeks ago suspended under the pretext that investigations were in progress yet the editor of the Chronicle

Brezhnev Malaba and his assistant Thabani Mpofu had vowed that Kuphe should not come back. This has caused some anxiety at Zimpapers during this time of uncertainty when it is not known how long Mugabe is going to hold on to power.

Writing on the wall for Mutambara – once again

EDITOR – Six months ago I wrote this letter below, warning the MDC faction led by Arthur Mutambara that they would be relegated and would

spoil the opposition’s chances of an outright win. After its publication in your paper I was attacked viciously from their supporters and they even went to the extent of accusing me of being a tribalist. Can you please republish it and let’s revise the wisdom that was in it.

Writing on the wall for Mutambara (The Zimbabwean, 24 October 2007)

The MDC faction led by Welshman Ncube using Mutambara as a facade is a disillusioned political grouping which derails the Zimbabwean opposition.

As it stands, all factors point to the fact that the split was engineered simply on tribal intentions, what else could explain that to this date they have not re branded their MDC as a national party with its own identity?

When Welshman Ncube spurned the split, he knew that there was going to be a swift closing of ranks and sympathy from fellow Members of Parliament from Matebeleland. All in the name of tribal solidarity.

This tribal solidarity is not different from African solidarity, a concept now expropriated by our own Mugabe. As it is, African leaders have adopted a see no evil hear no evil attitude. This is a form of racial solidarity that has little regard for the suffering masses of our country.

When it comes to match ups against the Tsvangirai MDC, Welshman Ncube’s circus crumbles, cases are Budiriro where their spokesman Gabriel Chaibva managed only 504 votses and the Chiredzi South by-election where their candidate was even trounced by the lesser known United People’s Party.

The recent opinion poll by the Mass Opinion institute of Zimbabwe which gave the Tsvangirai led MDC a 95.4% leverage over the Ncube faction, is a clear indication of what will happen in next’s elections. Lets face it, if Welshman Ncube and his followers have failed to sell their faction in the past two years of the split what can convince us that they can do so in the next few months before the elections.

My final analysis is that in next year ‘s elections, the two MDC factions will split the vote in some constituencies in favour of ZANU PF. However the MDC led by Tsvangirai will still win even if the vote is split in most constituencies.

Anyone out there?

EDITOR -  It’s over a week now since we expressed ourselves in a vote. We are denied the results. But worse now we are so threatened with war vets extra. If they did not want to hear the truth why did they ask us to vote. Please through your paper make the UN realise the dilemma we are in. Push the AU to come to the rescue of the  suffering masses of Zimbabwe. These people are the referees and goal keeprs and contestorrs all in one. The winners seem to be at the receiving end. Is there nobody out there who can help us.

SHUMBEYI ,Zimbabwe

He will be humiliated

EDITOR – So Mugabe wants to go out in embarrassing disgrace by having an electoral re-run? All the goodies he doled out for votes are probably finished, as he was so full of confidence that he’d successfully rigged the whole farce. He is going to be extremely humiliated, as those who failed to vote first time round, and with the results as they’ve turned out, it should give the people that bit of extra energy to crush him, something he’s been trying for years to do – crush people; now he’s going to receive some of his own medicine.

Instead of bowing out gracefully, he must snivel off into history like a cowering dog with his tail between his legs and lick his wounds. He could have been a hero of the people had he gone of his own accord in 1990 – even Ian Smith left gracefully once he saw no way out, handing over a country that had been bedevilled by a protracted civil war but still in excellent condition and running order; but like a spoilt little child given a new toy, Mugabe destroyed it. Now he is finished. Pamberi ne vanhu re Zimbabwe. Return and rebuild.

Take Mugabe to The Hague

EDITOR – The former President Mugabe is undoubtedly a despot of the first order, he has destroyed a once prosperous country and committed the Zimbabwean people to extraordinary hardship; all of my friends and I believe he should be taken to the International Criminal Court at the Hague and put on trial for crimes against humanity.  History will remember Mugabe for the crimes committed in his name; his inhumanity is on a par with Adolf Hitler.

Morgan won – fair and square

EDITOR – Mugabe is conducting a reign of terror on the most beautiful country of Zimbabwe, and their people and resources. Six days after the Zimbabwean General Election, which a majority voted for the opposition MDC, Mugabe’s regime along with ZEC (Electoral commission) is still dragging the foot of a dead chicken.

The Zimbabwean People, international and even state media and politicians know fair and square that Morgan Richard Tsvangirai is the outright the winner of this election – without the rigging.

Last week, the Zimbabwean people had so much hope and determination it hurt. We thought that Robert Mugabe would peacefully at the age of 84; say 28 years is more than enough! On Sunday, my phone rang as soon as Tendai Biti announced MDC victory and as the media showed widespread celebrations of victory all over the country.

People said Mugabe had fled for Malaysia. We underestimated Mugabe, let us not ever again! Today there is confusion, hate, resentment even among his own followers in the security forces.

Zimbabweans are frustrated at this time, all over the world and I have heard talk among people to ‘topple’ Mugabe. Last week, when we thought MDC had won, discussions among Zimbabwean radios, forums, chats was to let this old man retire in his motherland Zvimba peacefully without trial. Mugabe and his colleagues might fear this if MDC were to be in power. Now we think differently.

to all Zimbabweans and stakeholders, as a popular Zimbabwean song goes “Tiri pachirangano”. No matter how long this takes, no matter how many people you hit, how many reporters you arrest, Lord even if it takes time. We are in deep prayer, Zimbabwean’s let’s stick together. On Saturday 29th March the Zimbabwean people voted; let their WILL, NOT be taken away by Lucifer’s son! CHINGA MAITIRO! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ROBERT!

Remove the cancer of Zanu (PF)

EDITOR – Why do we allow all the tyrants to do what they want and then finally a few good men stand up and win the long battle, but still we have to ask the Mugabes of this world to leave nicely?

After what Bob and his cronies have done to our country while lining their pockets with our wealth, we still have to ask him to leave nicely or stay and we will not prosecute you.

Where has our back-bone gone?  Forget PC and treat this criminal the way he should be treated.  The only way Morgan and the MDC will be able to return Zim to its former beauty is to remove the cancer that Zanu-PF has put into our country and then we will be able to start to rebuild our country on solid foundations.

MDC you have friends all over the world that wait to help you rebuild our country.

No more nice guy – let’s get rid of PC and call a criminal a criminal.

90% of police voted for change

EDITOR – This is an open letter to the nation, I am an Assistant Inspector in the Zimbabwe Republic Police and many people have a belief that the majority of the ZRP is in support of this anarchy government.

I don’t know with those big sharks with the likes of Chihuri and his clique of top leaders in the police and army. The rest of junior ranks both in the army and police are disgruntled with what happened. The nation has been robbed its will and choice by greedy ruthless minority who think that they are clever.

To all Zimbabweans, be assured that we are with you in these trying times, give that burden to us, we are not lazy we also think, let them take us like we are their children but I’m very sorry, I cant say much on this paper, but what I know is that African history will repeat itself. To be honest Zimbabwe tirikurwadziwa isu mapurisa,  I am

not including those top sharks who are benefiting from this corrupt government.

If Mugabe is to illegally retain power, I’m sure he is going to utilise his Border Gezi guys in the police as huge number of Police Officers are resigning because we are now working to safeguard other corrupt people’s wealth instead of serving

the interest of every Zimbabwean.

Of the Postal ballot papers which Police Officers cast here in Harare almost 90% of them voted for a change, whilst only 10% beneficiaries of this rot government supported it. We are with you Zimbabweans, it also pains us for your choice to

be stolen like that. My parents, my relatives, friends and ordinary Zimbabweans are not in the police, they are also struggling to make ends meet. It is from this back ground that I have chose to make Zimbabwe know that we are together during this dictatorship rule of Mugabe.

To Chihuri and your colleagues there at the top, the day shall come when you are going to know the truth about how dangerous it is to misuse the Police to safeguard your looted riches.

Mossad not involved

EDITOR – The allegation that the Israeli Mossad is active in Zimbabwe is totally baseless. There is no Mossad involvement whatsoever in the Zimbabwean elections.

In reaction to an article in the Mail & Guardian, March 28th 2008 and now The Zimbabwean of 3rd March 2008, it must be emphatically stated that there are no Israeli intelligence agents in Zimbabwe, and there has been no interference with the elections held recently.

The Government of Israel adheres to its long-standing policy of avoiding any security and law enforcement cooperation with Harare.  Furthermore, the Government of Israel is consistently refusing any Israeli provider of security or law enforcement related transaction of services or equipment with Zimbabwe, be it Government or business.

The allegations made by opposition activists in Zimbabwe, and as quoted by the Mail & Guardian of March 28th and The Zimbabwean of 3rd March 2008, regarding the collaboration in the elections in Zimbabwe, are totally baseless.

Big time rigging

EDITOR – Saturday march 29 saw millions of Zimbabweans queuing up as early as 3am to cast their votes in a bid to vote the dictator out of office. What is disturbing is the manner in which ZEC is releasing the results of the polls. It took the commission four days (from the close of polls at 7pm on Saturday) to announce the results of the 206 contested parliamentary constituencies.

Of major concern are the lengthy delays and breaks between result announcements raising suspicions over the votes being rigged. Although I’m not against George Chiweshe (a former army official, who is most likely to be loyal to his ‘former’ master Mugabe) being the commission’s chairman, the incorporation of CIO officials to ZEC to ‘help with logistics’ is provocative.

The authenticity and credibility of ZEC conducting free, fair and rig-proof elections under these circumstances are questionable. If I understood Chiweshe very well, the delays were due to the results undergoing a ‘very strict’ verification process that would eradicate mistakes. How could the commission then ‘mistakably’ announce Mazowe South parliamentary constituency as having been won by the MDC(Tsvang), and the other numerous ‘errors’ after going through that ‘very strict’ process? Definitely something is going behind the scenes in Mugabe’s desperate bid to cling on to power till death. The votes are being rigged big time.

We know this notorious ZEC, the same ZEC that rigged the 2000,2002 and 2005 elections. Nothing is going to stop it this time. Not SADC, its guidelines or its observer mission. However, let it be known that no one owns Zimbabwe, not Mugabe, not Gono, not Chiwenga, not Chihuri. Zimbabweans have the right to be heard.

LETSSEE, Harare

Until death do us part

EDITOR – It is always difficult for tyrants to leave office by means of democracy. Mostly they leave office by means of illness and death. The octogenarian Mr R Mugabe is seemingly applying the till death do us apart attitude. We as South Africans pray constantly for a change in Zimbabwe.

THOMAS, Tembisa, SA

Separating boys from men

EDITOR – Now that the elections have come and gone, boys have been screened from men. Two real men are now left to fight it out in the run-off although the majority of us are convinced that Morgan got the vote straight away in the first place and the run-off is a forced one. We need to approach the run-off with open mind and we must never rest on our laurels.

Mugabe, no matter how much we might abhor him and his henchmen, still wields support among of his tribesmen, political parasites and crooks who have amassed abundant ill-gotten wealth during his reign. Added to this is his propensity to rig as we are aware of. Given this scenario, we need not take it for granted that the run-off is The outcome of the parliamentary elections have shown that in fact Morgan is the new national leader with supporters all over the country as opposed to Mugabe’s total absence from Bulawayo.

It has also relegated Simba and Arthur to the dustbin of history to which in fact like-minded politicians actually belong. This would ensure that all the voters who are for change will vote for Dziva without the need to hold talks with Mutambara and or Makoni. It has also opened up Masvingo and Manicaland and the rural voters who had been intimidated not to vote for MDC. They are now aware that nothing will ever happen to them since 52 rural constituencies have gone to Tsvangirai.

The ball is now entirely in our court as opposition supporters and activists to salvage our country from the whims and caprices of Bob’s demonic regime. To the supporters of MDC, I say Musanete, Lingadinwa – In fact amvambo anesu kwete Makoni.

Govt never had people at heart

EDITOR -It is time for all those Zimbos who trusted and hoped the Mugabe Government was for the people to have their eyes opened. Zimbabweans have voted in good faith and through their action that showed no violence that there have proved to be politically mature.

Why is Mugabe and his government refusing to give the people of Zimbabwe their results? They voted and they need to know what the outcome of their wish is.

If he had won Zanu could have celebrated but there lost and because of their selfishness they cannot release these results.

This reflects that the current government doesn’t have the wishes of people at heart, but to pursue their greediness. Fellow Zimbabweans, 2008 is our year to remove this demon that has brought us through this suffering.

He and his party are talking of a re-run, this is an indication of desperation.  Well we Zimbabweans we do not need a desperate leader, it’s time again we should show him he does not represent the wishes of Zimbabweans. Mugabe and his party never defeated MDC from the first election to this of 2008. We do not hesitate to take a re- run of these presidential elections. We shall give Mugabe a white wash, not a chance their systems of vote rigging and vote buying does not rebuild our nation. It only profits him and his own people.

I request the people of Zimbabwe to rally behind the Morgan Tsvangirai for president. It’s time for Mugabe to go kwaZvimba and his cabinet kimapurazi avakaba.

CONFIDENT, Harare

Tired old man

EDITOR – President Mugabe does not intend to relinquish power in Zimbabwe. Instead he intends to die whilst he and/or his party remain in power.

It must be remembered that he has his burial spot – grave No 1 – reserved for him at the top of the national Heroes Acre shrine. This he might believe to be his legacy, therefore if neither he nor ZANU (PF) are in power at the time of his death he is not guaranteed to be buried there.

Mugabe knows he has nothing more to offer the people of Zimbabwe. He is a tired and old man who wants to retire, therefore assure him of his “legacy” and we might see a resolution to the situation in Zimbabwe.
