CAPE TOWN – We will forever hold onto the dream of the country we used live in – Zimbabwe. In South Africa we anxiously wait to hear the sound of change. We talk about the good old days but we also talk about the Zimbabwe of tomorrow that shall never be taken for granted.
Every day I speak to Zimbabweans, who are saddened when our country is mentioned, but smile with pride when they meet their countrymen. We are like old people, who talk about the good old days, but we also spend lots of time talking about the Zimbabwe of tomorrow that shall never be taken for granted.
We shall demand every right we are availed, we shall protest every rights violation and we shall never again allow our rights to slowly be taken away from us.
Times are changing and power must never be given to State House. No president must own independence. Instead, we must maintain the strength that is in our people. We salute those in the struggle and we wait anxiously to hear their calls. Whatever bad news we hear let Mugabe know that our hope is eternal and the dream will become a reality.
This week we continue with our preparation for legal action against the Department of Home Affairs. We aim to secure an interdict against deportation of all Zimbabweans who do not have legal status in South Africa. We believe this is possible as the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) will not allow people to be voluntarily repatriated to Zimbabwe because they believe the situation to be volatile. Â
