Make Zimbabwe a province of South Africa

EDITOR - Robert Mugabe and his military junta are satisfied criminals who killed defenceless civilians deliberately to remain in power.

SADC should not shield criminals. The killing machinery of Zanu (PF) remains intact. Robert Mugabe has not changed, playing with time to kill President Morgan Tsvangirai and followers later.

The United Nations should annex Zimbabwe as a province of South Africa. South Africa has a robust constitution, strong economy, and open market.

In support of Muamma Gaddafi one Africa concept, any country mismanaged like Zimbabwe should be annexed to a better-managed big sister nearby. Malawi to be annexed to Tanzania, Mauritania to Libya, Somalia to Ethiopia and so on. Zimbabweans are already in South Africa. The rand is now the official currency in Zimbabwe. Empty Supermarkets could be full again in two to three days, so why not?

The United Nations should send a peacekeeping force before it is too late to dismantle the Zanu (PF) bases and torture command centres throughout the country, and disarm/disband the militia, the so-called born-free war vets, send the army to barracks and prepare for free and fair elections under the AU, UN and international community supervision in 12 months.

SADC should retire Robert Mugabe with immediate effect. He is now too old; sleeping wherever he sits and failing to use steps without help. We do not want him to die pretending to be the president in office.

Justice for those who were killed deliberately has to be done. SADC should not practise double standards. In their own countries, they did not deliberately kill innocent defenceless civilians. Robert Mugabe must go now.
