.In the mens categoryMotlokoa Nkabuhtlane took the fisrt prize in 2:14:15s followed by Lenga Nkoka who was last years winter marathon winner.

It was a huge disappointment for South African born Molema (31) who was leading for the better part of the race and only to succumb in the last stages of the race who came fourth.

Zimbabwean Gilbert Mutandiro found the going tough as he came a distance 10th position.
