The project, set to be completed by 2010, will stimulate trade between the two countries and open up South African markets to Mozambican producers.
The initiative will also see an increase in investment opportunities as the Maputo development corridor runs through some of the most highly industrialized and productive regions of South Africa , providing the booming regions of Mpumalanga, Gauteng and the Limpopo province with the most competitive and fastest access to the sea.
“Policies implemented at this border post are the same as in South Africa UK, America and the world over,” Planning and Development manager, Rui Santana Afonso said. – CAJ News
