Chitiyo new Chairperson at Britain Zimbabwe Society

LONDON - The Zimbabwean author and researcher Dr Knox Chitiyo is the new Chairperson of the Britain-Zimbabwe Society following the 2008 AGM. Vice-Chairs are as before: Oliver Phillips and Clayton Peel with Professor Terence Ranger remaining as President and Edgar Moyo as Vice-President.

Clayton Peel also becomes Information Officer while Margaret Ling becomes treasurer in place of Iain Whyte.  Marieke Clarke and Pat Brickhill remain as secretaries.

Chitiyo is a Zimbabwean researcher and head of the Africa programme at RUSI in London.  He is a regular contributor to The Guardian and is an African Affairs commentator on the BBC, Al-Jazeera and other international news media.
