Rural voter curse

EDITOR - Is it not interesting that ruling parties when they are staring at an electoral defeat, pin their hope on what they call the rural votes?

The rural voters sham is a rigging gimmick. The elders are between 65 and 95 years old and not very interested in politics due to the inconvenience of travelling to rallies and polling stations.

During the run up to the March 29 election we were told that the enlightened rural voters were going to carry the day for the ruling Zanu (PF), but the MDC won most of its parliamentary seats in the rural areas.

SADC must be overhauled once and for all . Despite Mbeki’s shortcomings as regards the Zimbabwean issue , I think his leaving the presidency as soon as he saw he was no longer wanted must be ingrained into the next generation of African leaders. – LLODZA, Harare
