These are the times

EDITOR - These are the times when many Zimbabweans die in hospitals and there is nothing the doctors and nurses can do. A time when children are failing to go school because there are no teachers and they cannot afford to pay the ever increasing school fees, times when people resort to taking risks in order to survive.

All that the people have held to over the years is slowly slipping
away. What some have taken years to build, they have to watch it
crumble down. We yearn for what we once had and what we hoped for this
nation. We want a better life, better community and a future for our
loved ones. We still watch our mothers, brothers and sisters go
overseas where they are not wanted and have to work for long hours in
search of a better life so they can support their loved ones back home.
We have accepted the harsh conditions and now it all seems normal. Now
everyone is busy working on how to enrich himself/herself to survive
even at the expense of others.
