We need to do business with Air Tanzania there are many opportunities
such as the cosharing and other agreements to help boost trade
between the two airlines, Mr ElDemerdash said. EgyptAir ceased
operations in April 2004, due to what it called a weak product and
fleet size' but there are now plans to operate four direct weekly
flights between Dar and Cairo.

"We are coming back strong with flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and
Sunday. In Cairo our clients can connect to a thousanddestinations
worldwide through our Star Alliance network, he said.

Mr ElDemerdash added that the airline would also be using latest Boeing
737/800 aircraft, which have 16 business and 144 economic class seats,
adding that the airline had studied that Tanzania's market for one and
a half years – during which it had a dynamic market with big business

This move will strengthen the relations of the two countries on top of
ensuring more trade, tourists and investors .., Cairo is the centre for
connecting traffic between Africa, Europe, Middle East and Far East,
he said. EgyptAir boasts of a global reach with its membership to Star
Alliance of 21 mega carriers, a network of 69 cities in 52 countries.
It also boasts of modern technology in all-round e-ticketing systems.
