HARARE – Youthful side Glen Norah Pistons face Golden Spurs as both
teams hunt for the maximum two points in a Harare Basketball Women's
League match, set for Richwood Park, today.
Pistons who were placed fifth on the log table, before yesterday's
matches at the University of Zimbabwe will be hoping to outwit their
opponents today, who are equaliy hungry for all points to move a step
up the ladder.
Spurs are on the eighth position, trailing four points behind Pistons.
They were separated by Kingdom Cavaliers (24) and Real Returners (23)
before the jump-ball by the HBA referees in the first matches at
Richwood and UZ, yesterday.
In the other women's league matches to be played today, national
champions, JBC who are trailing behind former champions, Stanbick
Marverick on the table, will be hoping to reduce the deficit by pulling
a win against UZ Stars at their opponents' home ground.
Real Returners face Stormers at the same venue.
