So far, we have less than 10 000 rooms and South Africa has asked us to provide 40 000 bedrooms for 2010 World Cup, he said.

In an interview on the sidelines of the stakeholders meeting, Minister Mzembi urged hoteliers to upgrade their hotels to meet international standards.

A committee has already been set up whose objective is to monitor, advise and operationalise our preparedness for 2010. The operations will be devolved from all provinces.
