A total 54 senior school rugby teams and 34 Under-16 sides are taking
part at the tournament that is widely seen as vital in helping develop
young talent.
The weeklong showpiece is meant to promote rugby among the younger
generation in order to build a huge reservoir of talent for the
national team.
A coaching clinic for team managers and coaches will be held on Tuesday
to help schools empower all their players with basic rugby skills. The
clinic is set to focus on scrimmaging, tackling, rucks and mauls
techniques.
Referees from South Africa, Zambia and Uganda will give their support as they assist in the officiating.
