JOHANNESBURG The Zimbabwean-born trio of Tendai Mtawarira, Tonderayi and Brian Mujati are among a 23-man squad South African rugby coach Peter de Vill

The matches will be played from 14 June to 25 July in Johannesburg and Durban.
De Villiers was confident the players selected would perform well in the matches leading up to the Lions tour. Without the opportunity of a few warm-up games we must ensure that we get the most out of this match, regardless of the fact that some players are not in attendance, he told the media in Johannesburg last Wednesday.

Mtawarira, Chavhanga and Mujati were born in Zimbabwe but now represent world champions South Africa after leaving Zimbabwe following the decline of rugby standards in their country. The 23-year-old Mtawarira, who plays as prop for The Sharks in the South African League, has represented The Springboks 10 times.

Stormers wing Chavhanga, the oldest of the three at 26 years, has been capped three times after playing his first match for South Africa in 2005. His 24-year-old teammate Mujati is the most capped of the three with 12 games.
