A request for games

edit5EDITOR I am a Zimbo currently working and living in South Africa. I do not miss a copy of The Zimbabwean and wanted to say keep up the good work. I would like to make a request. Please can you publish some games like Sudoku, target and word puzzles? NOAH, Johannesburg

Sick of being embarrassed
EDITOR – I am so sick of people like Rob Mugabe and his fellow African dictators who want to stay in power for ever.

Can he not see that people don’t want him anymore?

I’m so sick of Arthur Mutambara and his talkativeness. That guy just does not shut up, I feel so embarrassed when journalists interview him, he just does not keep quiet. How can he expect to be President when he does not listen?

I’m so sick of Dumiso Dabengwa. In this day and age how can he start tribal politics?

I’m so sick of Simba Makoni. How can he be used by Zanu (PF) to divide the nation’s votes against Tsvangirai?

I’m sick of ZBC, The Herald and The Chronicle being used by Zanu (PF) to tell uneducated lies.

Zimbabwe does not need a lot of political parties, all parties should combine to get rid of Mugabe. LEWIS SIBANDA, Johannesburg

Shoes for Zim
EDITOR A group of people from all over the world has come together to collect school shoes for children in Zimbabwe. We welcome all shapes and sizes and our mission is to find a practical way to address a need in our country.

We would greatly benefit from donations. For more information please contact Nelissa Chavava via Facebook. MAMOYO CHAVAVA, by e-mail

Reduction of excise duty on diesel will immensely benefit industry particularly the transport industry which heavily relies on diesel.

At this point the only criticism for Biti’s budget is its apparent lack of imagination on measures of how to spur growth of the export sector. But overall his economic growth trajectory of 3.7 per cent is feasible.

Contrary to Moyo, Biti’s efforts are meant to reverse the impact of economic meltdown and promote more economic activity that will see more currencies circulating. At the same time, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai is fastidiously working to build a coalition of nations that will rally around the cause of Zimbabwe’s economic revival. Reconstruction money is on its way as long as political saboteurs like Moyo are not allowed to prevail.

All that is required in Zimbabwe at the moment is the emergence of a steadfast political will. It is our sincere hope that men and women of Zanu (PF) will for the first time, desist from flirting with the politics of self-destruction.
