Destiny awaits UK Zimbabweans

LONDON - They promise to "enrich, empower and inspire" and to "tap into inner
resources, talents and passions" - but behind the flashy mission statements,
a new venture is offering practical support to UK Zimbabweans.

Destiny Dinners launches on September 12 at the Cumberland Hotel in Harrow

with a panel of speakers and entertainment from UNICEF’s campaign ambassador

and international gospel singer, Shingisai Suluma. The speakers, who are chosen to help participants consider their choices, are expected to share strategies and techniques for achieving goals.

They include Councillor Nanah Asante of Harrow; successful Zimbabwean

businessperson Nyasha Gwatidzo; author Professor Wayne Visser; Jamaican poet

and barrister David Neita, and Yvonne Marimo, a women’s rights activist and

empowerment advocate. Destiny Dinners says it aims to “facilitate motivational speaking events and coach people through processes that help them tap into their inner resources, talents and passions.

You aren’t always sure what it is that you need to do; but you just know that you cannot go on in the same way any longer. Whether it’s work, relationships or your whole life, you know in your heart that something has got to change, said a spokesperson for the organisation. For more information contact yvonnef@aol.com
