Four golfers from Egypt tourney
BULAWAYO - Four amateur golfers will represent the country in the All Africa Golf Championships to be held in Egypt at the end of September.
The four are Scot Vincent, Nyasha Muyambo, Roger Jack and Trynos Muradzikwa.
Obed Dube, the Zimbabwe Golf Association president, said that the youthful team was selected after the Harare Open Tournament.
This is an interesting time for golfers as they are preparing for the All Africa Golf Championships set for Egypt. These players are actually the top players that emerged after the Harare Open. This time around we are sending local golfers, said Dube.
According to the ZGA boss, the top three ranked players automatically make it into the team with the fourth player being the selectors choice. He said the association was hopeful the selected would take their form to Egypt and do well for the country.
Vincent, Muyambo and Jack are not new to representing the country as they were part of the Zone Six national team.
