Dr Mahanga, who is also a Member of Parliament (MP) for Ukonga Constituency, was addressing a seminar for CCM members at Segerea in Ilala District, Dar es Salaam over the weekend.
He said that allowing such campaigns now would jeopardise efforts of restoring unity among themselves. We need to have a strong solidarity, unity, love and one voice so that we can win the coming civic elections scheduled for October 25.
Without that we will enter the elections divided and fail to get many votes that will assure us landslide victory, he said. Dr Mahanga, who is also the Deputy Minister for Labour, Employment and Youth Developments said CCM members who have started campaigns for the forthcoming general elections should stop that as such trend would create room for forming groups.
He said CCM was committed to serve all people regardless of their ideologies and bring about developments in infrastructure, water, education and health sectors in their areas.
