Other bills assented to by the president are Constitutional Amendment Bill, which changed the budget cycle, the Zambia Tanzania Pipeline (Amendment) Bill, which insulates the firm from seizure of assets and the Health Professions Bill.
Special assistant to the president for Press and public relations, Dickson Jere said in a statement yesterday that Mr Banda had also endorsed the Public Private Partnership Bill, the Information and Communications Technologies Bill, the Electronic Communications Bill and the Postal Services Bill.
The president also assented to the Legal Practitioners (amendment) Bill, the Zambia Law Development Commission (amendment) Bill and the Notaries Public and Notarial Functions (amendment) Bill.
The rest were the Constitutional Offices (emoluments) (amendment) Bill, the Presidential Emoluments (amendment) Bill and the Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices Emoluments (amendment) Bill.
