There is need for a lot of work, there is a lot of potential, and the players are talented. But there are also players who are not qualified to play in the Premiership, Fathy said last weekend.

I have made a target for a top-five finish; Im giving my maximum effort to the club to achieve that, but if we dont finish top five I will leave.

The Egyptian mentor watched Bosso crash 0-1 to Premiership newcomers Eagles FC at Maronderas Rudhaka Stadium in a match his charges hardly did anything to show that they are aware of their gaffers lofty ambitions.

A 28th minute strike by Felix Kuswatuka earned the combative Eagles the much needed three points despite a string of last minute efforts by Nqobile Mpala and Denford Chirwa to force a share of the spoils.

Fathy who apologised to Highlanders supporters for his teams poor performance remained optimistic.

I apologise to the Highlanders supporters for the loss. We will continue working hard together with the technical team to make the people enjoy the game, Fathy said.

The Egyptian coach came on board this month following Madinda Ndlovus departure after Highlanders revealed that the club was unable to continue meeting his salary.

The match at Rudhaka was Fathys second with Bosso after picking a point in a stalemate against Lengthens at Barborfields Stadium the previous week.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian was unhappy with the way he was welcomed by some parts of the media, a few days after his arrival at the club.

How can they talk about me not having credentials when they have never seen my papers, he questioned. If they continue like that I will sue them or take them to hell if I have to.
