South Africa: Interviews Set For The SABC Board

The interview process will span three days. Meanwhile, a six-member interim board, is also on the verge of filling several key positions for the public broadcaster. The posts of Chief Operating officer, which was vacant for two years and Head of News are expected to be filled. Also the deadline for applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer was set for 8 September2009. Mvuso Mbebe, who was initially nominated by the board in 2007, will take over as chief operating officer. A short list for the head of news position, previously held by Snuki Zikalala has been drawn up. Former news head Jimi Matthews, Pippa Green, Karima Brown and Phil Molefe are among those to be interviewed for the position on 8 September 2009.
