The country held a four-day travel fair last week, attended by hundreds of international investors and exhibitorsMizumi arrived in Harare in a chartered plane. She said many people had tried to dissuade her from coming to Zimbabwe, saying the country was not yet safe to visit.

But I insisted that I would come and here I am, she said. I feel quite safe. There is tranquillity here. People should not shy away from visiting Zimbabwe. Mizumi presided over a talent show for Herentals College in Mbare last Friday. She was full of praise for budding models, who, she reckoned, had the potential to scale greater heights.

There are many potential contestants who can make it in the modelling and arts industry and I have seen many beautiful and handsome youths at this show, she said.

The super model said she will launch a campaign to bring tourists to Zimbabwe, but many doubt the DRC as a potential source market.
