MUTARE The City of Manica in Mozambique plans to strengthen bilateral relations with Mutare, particularly in the health and education sectors, an official said today.Visiting Secretary General of Manica Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber Secretary for the City Of Manica, Fernando Remirez de Estenoz, said Manica was keen to strengthen ties with Mutare, particularly in the two sectors.
“We want to improve relations between our cities especially in the area of health and education,” he told reporters in the city today after having meetings with the members of the business community and officials from the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development.
He indicated that Zimbabwe had some medical practitioners and other professionals working in Manica. “They are very happy to work in Manica and very proud to support the people of Mozambique,” Estenoz said. He commended Zimbabwe for its support of Mozambiques health and education sectors. “They are doing a fantastic job. Our relations are growing from strength to strength,” he said.
