The training course is scheduled to commence on February 15 at the One Brigade barracks in Bulawayo. The training workshop will equip the officials with the requisite skills to handle the numerous events and tournaments that we have lined this year, said Themba Manyanda the BABA secretary-general. Manyanda said the initiative would go a long way in the development of boxing in the city. He said the training workshop would focus on how to handle club, provincial and national events.
Manyanda said the workshop would also explore ways that could be implemented that will take the sport forward in Bulawayo. We want to develop the sport this year and there is no better way of doing this than training people, he said. He said the course is not only limited to member affiliated to respective clubs under BABA but anyone with boxing at heart. We calling on everyone to come and under take any of the three courses. We do not mind whether you have a club or not, what matters is that you have boxing at heart.
