HARARE - The Miss Zimbabwe 2010 beauty pageant will be held on the eve of the Valentine's Day. Love and romance have never been celebrated in quite this way. Organisers say the pageant will be amazing and captivating.
Sugar Chagonda, spokesman for Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, said it would be a night to remember in the vaulted splendour of the Exhibition Centre. He described it as a major national event.
Last year’s Miss Zimbabwe 2009 winners will crown their successors during the event. The winners of the contest will represent Zimbabwe in Miss Universe, Miss World to be held in Vietnam and Miss International 2010 beauty pageants.
Vanessa Sibanda, Miss Zimbabwe 2009, will crown her successor at the conclusion of the two-hour telecast on ZTV from the venue.
Miss Zimbabwe travels the nation as an advocate for tourism, education, research and legislation. Each contestant from the country’s 10 provinces will be judged in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview.
