The issue of sanctions provides a smokescreen and a fig leaf behind which Zanu (PF) hides and cover up its impotence. It can also be told to those who cannot think outside the box for instance the SADC heads of states.
Its the former ruling party that is churning hate speech feeding the nation with its propaganda lies implementing the draconian pieces of legislation and violating the peoples rights. Its the blood-thirsty and power hungry movement that is dragging its feet and reluctant to fully implement the GPA provisions as it knows by so doing its loosening its iron grip on power reins.
I am one of those who has never celebrated the inception of the GNU. If Zanu (PF) refuses to make concessions, I urge the MDC to disengage again. That will embarrass the so-called facilitator Jacob Zuma. With the world cup showpiece just around the corner its the right time for the MDC to terminate its marriage with Zanu (PF).
I think that will force him to flex his muscles against the octogenarian despot. Conformity and compliance by Zanu (PF) to those indispensable political fundamentals and caveats will restore confidence in the GNU. Zanu (PF) alone has nothing to offer to the people and is at its end of thinking capacity on how to turn around the economy.
To Zuma, Zanu (PF) and all its sympathizers I say stop blaming the MDC and the West for your self-inflicted wounds and self-imposed sanctions. Accept failure and honour the current political dispensation. FARAI MAUMBA, Pretoria
