Gumbo scores a first

HARARE - Former Highlanders and Warriors coach Rahman Gumbo has scored a first after lifting the coveted league title in Botswana on Thursday.

This was after guiding Township Rollers to the BeMobile Premier League title following a 2-0 win over Notwane.

Another Zimbabwean, Terence Mandaza, emerged a hero for the Botswana outfit, with two splendid goals that put Township Rollers on an unassailable 68 points from 26 matches, with two more to play.

Mandaza, who is currently linked to several South African teams, is set to pocket a cool P25,000 cheque for winning the Golden Boot after banging in an incredible 31 goals this season.

South African giants Orlando Pirates are reported to chasing the player’s signature ahead of the start of the season in August.
