Mutambara’s demise inevitable

ago_mutambaraEDITOR - Arthur Mutambara (pictured) is sure losing the plot of being taken seriously by the people of Zimbabwe every time he opens his mouth.

Recently, Mutambara was heaping praises on a dictator in the person of Robert Mugabe in Harare when his party was facing a serious crisis following the death of some of its leaders, including Renson Gasela in a car accident in Zvishavane.

Instead of joining his party members in mourning the dead, Mutambara saw it fit to join Zanu (PF) bootlickers in heaping praises on Mugabe at a women’s conference in Harare.

It took the wisdom of MDC president, Morgan Tsvangirai, to travel to Gweru to pay condolences to the Gasela family when Mutambara was busy bootlicking. Also, in recent days Mutambara has been issuing contrasting statements that

the country is not going to hold elections next year.

It is very clear that Mutambara will not be happy in the country having elections next year as this will be his demise and an end to his dramatic political life.

But whether he likes it or not, Zimbabweans want a free and fair election as this is the only way that we can have a truly democratic country.

Mutambara should wake up and smell the coffee. The people of Zimbabwe are not interested in his buffoonery acts. He should stop being a fool and quietly enjoy his last days in politics. EDNA MUSARURWA, Masvingo
