peter_nzerumbayeJOHANNESBURG- Polish-based Zimbabwean international and Klub Sportowy Wista W Wisley midfielder, Peter Nzerumbaye, says he is now ready to wear Zimbabwes gold and green Warriors kit. (Pictured: Peter Nzerumbaye gets injured during a league match)

Speaking to The Zimbabwean this week, Nzerupaye said he was mentally and physically fit to represent his country at a national level. He also encouraged national selectors not to over look him as he now wanted to repay the Zimbabweans for making him a better player in the world. I am available and am also psychologically fit. I want the national selectors to give me a chance as I have a lot to offer my country. With the experience I have gained in Europe, I think I can bring a little bit of change to the Warriors. I cant wait for this opportunity and I want to be included in the next match for the Warriors, he added.

Peter went on to lament the Warriors failure to qualify for 2010 World Cup in South Africa and encouraged Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) to try and bring in a coach who would turn the team into something similar to Fabischs Dream Team of 90. It pains me very much that we failed to qualify for the World Cup that will be played on our African soil and neighbouring country South Africa. We cant continue failing to qualify for the most prestigious tournaments and rely on lifting up the COSAFA Cup only, we must show people out there that we can do it.

Southern Africa, especially Zimbabwe and Zambia, has a lot of talent but we have been failing to qualify for bigger tournaments. I think now its our time and no one will deny us that opportunity and I want Zimbabwe to be present in the next World Cup tournament, he said. Born 23 years ago in Harare, Nzerupaye joined the polish-based side Klub Sportowy Wista W Wisley from Shooting Stars. He had earlier turned out for former Warriors mentors side Wesley Graboskys DT Africa. He also featured for former Zimbabwean champions Munhumutapa before heading to Poland.
