Bulawayo- Residents and members of the civic society have called for the liberalization of the media and opening up of airwaves to allow for community and independent broadcasting stations in Zimbabwe. In a focus group meeting, to discuss the impact of the introduction of TV2 which covers a radius of 80km from Harare, organised by Bulawayo Agenda, yesterday participants stated that they had no interest in accessing the 2nd TV Station as it is promoting regionalism and marginalisation. They said that broadcasting licences must be issued fairly.
