EDITOR - Zanu (PF), using the CIO, has once again employed its dirty tactics to fuel and try to cause divisions in the MDC in a desperate attempt to save their dwindling fortunes.Reports by the State media that MDC secretary-general, Tendai Biti, is trying to take-over the presidency from Morgan Tsvangirai at the next party congress is a clear sign that this is the work of Zanu (PF).
It is clear that as smart as Biti is, he would never attempt, or even dream of, taking over from Tsvangirai since anyone who has taken time to read the MDC constitution will see that this is impossible.
As one who drafted the MDC constitution, Biti would never even attempt to take-over from Tsvangirai. It is a well-known fact the Tsvangirai is the face of the struggle that we are in to bring real change to Zimbabwe.
However, Zanu (PF) is desperate to fuel divisions in the MDC. It is a known fact that the real divisions and succession issues are in Zanu (PF) where the politicians are fighting each other on who will take-over from Robert Mugabe not in the MDC.
The MDC leadership should be wary of these manoeuvres as Zanu (PF) is really using every dirty tactic available in order to remain in power. Zanu PF is truly showing the last kicks of a dying donkey. TRYMORE MAZHAMBE, by e-mail
